The Peruvian Amazon is under siege by opportunistic forces grabbing land to extract natural resources and establish megafarms. Time is running out to protect these high-integrity forests and thousands of threatened species.

We need your help to save critical rainforest habitat in the vast Loreto region in northeastern Peru. An area the size of Montana, this ecosystem is under attack, driving imperiled wildlife like the Jaguar, Giant Otter, White-bellied Spider Monkey, Yellow-footed Tortoise and Lowland Tapir closer to extinction.

This Earth Day, together, we can safeguard over 3.8 million acres of tropical forest for species, the planet and communities before time runs out.

Preserving critical habitats around the globe

For more than 35 years, we have demonstrated that safeguarding critical habitat is the most effective way to protect species. We work with local partners to develop projects aimed at securing vital habitat.

"The one process now going on that will take millions of years to correct is the loss of genetic and species diversity by the destruction of natural habitats. This is the folly our descendants are least likely to forgive us.”
