Conservation of the Especes Marine

Côte d’Ivoire

For some time now, there have been indications that sea turtles are laying their eggs on the coast in southwest Côte d’Ivoire. There is still no single protected area for a stretch of coastline, however with the help of partners, this non-governmental organization, together with the population of a stretch of coastline at Grand Béréby, aims to create a positive future for humans and animals. CEM has initiated a process with the aim of establishing a marine reserve in southwestern Côte d’Ivoire near Grand Bereby.
