Fundação Lisima

The Lisima Landscape includes the Water Tower of the Angolan Highlands and connects the springs and lagoons of four major rivers in Angola with the Okavango Delta (Botswana) and the Zambezi River (Angola). This entire area stores large quantities of freshwater that flow hundreds of kilometres, sustaining ecosystems in some of the most arid regions of Africa.

The Lisima Foundation aims to understand this natural treasure of Angola, Africa, and the world. More importantly, through it, we continue to advocate for the voices of its guardians, promoting and realising that the best form of conservation includes people and their history.
