Double Your Impact for Earth Month!

On a high-altitude plateau in Angola, rain generates enough water to fill 170 million Olympic-sized swimming pools each year. This water sustains the Okavango Delta, an inland oasis that countless species depend on to survive.

This is the Angola Highlands Water Tower, and deforestation is advancing from all sides.

Land is being cleared for agriculture, charcoal, and development.

Oil and gas threats are growing.

If we do nothing, one of Earth’s greatest wildlife refuges could vanish:

      • The Okavango Delta could start to dry up
      • Millions of animals could lose their habitat
      • Communities could lose a critical water source

Earth’s most important wildlife oasis depends on the waters of the Angola Highlands

The Angola Highlands supply 95% of the water that floods the Okavango Delta, a vast oasis and wildlife stronghold within the Kalahari Desert. Lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, antelopes, and more than 400 species of birds rely on the waters of the Okavango Delta for their very survival.

There is still time to act. Your gift will help protect:

  • 3.1 million acres of critical habitat across 5 community-led conservation areas
  • 250,000 acres of core conservation areas, including source lakes and sacred forests
  • Vital habitat for iconic wildlife like African Lions and Endangered African Wild Dogs
  • One of the largest populations of Endangered African Savanna Elephants in the world
  • An essential freshwater source for wildlife and people across 7 countries
  • Rich peatlands that store nearly 300 million tons of carbon.

You have the opportunity to protect this lifeline at its source, before it’s too late.

Protect water. Protect species. Protect life. All month long, every dollar donated will be double-matched until we reach our $100,000 goal.

Healthy Rainforests. Healthy Planet.

Healthy rainforests are critical to a healthy planet. Creating protected areas is the most effective way to protect endangered animals, safeguard biodiversity, stop deforestation, and maintain the health of all species on our planet.
