Rachel joined Rainforest Trust in January 2025 as a Conservation Grants Associate after a 16-month backpacking trip around the world. During this trip, she reflected a lot on environmental issues through a tourism lens, which led her to discover her interest in conservation.

Rachel joined Rainforest Trust with a global health background supporting health development projects in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. She spent a year in Jordan studying the regional refugee crisis and supported a project to strengthen the primary health care workforce in the country. She received her BA in Public-Global Health from the University of Washington.

In her free time, Rachel plays an absurd amount of beach volleyball and enjoys hiking and camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
