Loree M. Gourley brings over 25 years of international experience in sustainability, governance and responsible investment, with a career spanning Canada, New Zealand, Australia, China and the UK. Her experience encompasses financial services, life sciences, agri-food, real estate and private equity, providing her with a broad perspective on the strategic, regulatory and commercial drivers shaping sustainable business.
Through leadership roles within Big Four sustainability practices, experience operating in private equity-backed businesses and working for a Fortune 100 global life sciences company, Loree has developed a distinctive understanding of the intersection between corporate strategy, governance and long-term sustainable value creation.
Her expertise lies in helping organisations build resilience and unlock long-term value by aligning strategy with evolving stakeholder expectations, regulatory developments and planetary boundaries. She has particular expertise in transition planning, nature and biodiversity strategy, responsible investment and the application of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to accelerate sustainable business transformation and advance social equity.
Loree holds an MBA and has further developed her expertise through executive education in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, Sustainable Finance at INSEAD, and Social Impact at Columbia Business School.
Outside her professional work, Loree is committed to conservation within her local community in the Cotswolds, where she focuses on enhancing biodiversity and supporting grassroots environmental stewardship.
