Liz joined the Rainforest Trust team after nearly a decade reporting on the global freshwater and sanitation crisis. She has also edited and written for organizations focused on global public health and Middle East news. Liz earned her BS in Linguistics, with a focus on French and Arabic, at Georgetown University. She also studied at the American University in Cairo, and has spent time in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey. Originally from Chicago, she has lived in Warrenton for more than 10 years, and enjoys volunteering as an ESL teacher, losing at pub trivia and bowling and helping tend to her ever-expanding vegetable garden.
