Geo Chen is a global macro investor, writer, and conservation philanthropist with over two decades of institutional trading experience.  His lifelong connection to nature began in the forests of Taiwan, where he spent much of his childhood exploring trails, waterfalls, and wildlife. Today, he is recognized for his expertise in global macro investing and for sharing insights through his newsletter, Fidenza Macro, which has attracted a dedicated readership of hedge funds, banks, independent traders, and sovereign wealth funds on Substack.

Geo’s interest in rainforest conservation led him to Rainforest Trust, where he served on the Board of Directors from 2017 to 2025. During his tenure, he helped strengthen the organization’s long-term investment strategy, contributing financial expertise that supports both conservation programs and organizational sustainability. His engagement with Rainforest Trust was further deepened through field visits to conservation projects in Southeast Asia, where he witnessed firsthand the impact of protecting critical wildlife habitat.

A passionate advocate for conservation philanthropy, Geo continues to support environmental initiatives through The Huang Chen Foundation, which he founded with his wife, Angela Huang. He is pleased to continue his support of Rainforest Trust by serving on the Advisory Council and remains committed to advancing conservation efforts across Asia and beyond.
