The mission of the Autonomous University of Guerrero (UAGro) is to carry out research and promote technological development and innovation; connect with society to respond to its social, economic, cultural, environmental, and technological needs and demands; and promote social inclusion and sustainable development. In particular, the UAGro Integral Wildlife Laboratory (LIFAS) aims to generate knowledge about the terrestrial vertebrates of southern and central Mexico and establish protected areas within the state of Guerrero to ensure the long-term conservation of biodiversity.
