Isabel holds a BA in Environmental Sciences and a MSc. in Applied Sciences. Before joining Rainforest Trust, Isabel led the development of a major regional conservation initiative in the Eastern Tropical Pacific, collaborating with governments, local communities, and protected area managers to strengthen cooperation across borders.

Her passion for conservation has taken her across Latin America, where she has worked on projects that connect people and nature through sustainable livelihoods, ecosystem protection, and climate resilience. She has dedicated her career to supporting community-driven solutions that protect biodiversity and strengthen conservation governance.

Fluent in English and Spanish, she values the diversity of cultures, landscapes, and perspectives that shape lasting conservation outcomes.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring nature with her children and husband, being in the ocean and spending quiet moments outdoors surrounded by the sounds of wildlife.
