Recycle Drive Rainforest Trust
This year Rainforest Trust and ALC Recycling will be holding a recycle drive at Rainforest Trust’s headquarters in Warrenton during the month of April in celebration of Earth Day. During this month-long event, the local community can drop their unused electronics for recycling. See the flyer for information on accepted electronics.

Women’s Conservation League, Earth Day of Service
Celebrate Earth Day with Rainforest Trust and the Women’s Conservation League. Volunteers can choose among several opportunities to serve the local community, including trash pickup along Airlie Road, plant installation project at Rady Park in Warrenton and other volunteer opportunities, as well as a forest fire presentation from the Warrenton Volunteer Fire Department; a picnic lunch with food from Chick-fil-a, Pizza Hut and Red, Hot and Blue; and family-friendly games and Earth Day crafts.

Airlie Earth Day
Come visit us at Airlie in their beautiful herb garden this Earth Day to learn about ways you can protect wildlife and wilderness, and how you can make a positive impact in helping us save the rainforest.

In 1969, Senator Gaylord Nelson first introduced his idea for Earth Day to a group of medical and law students participating in a conference at Airlie. The idea gained steam quickly, and the first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970. Today, Earth Day is celebrated worldwide and continues to promote and raise environmental consciousness.

5K Race Against Extinction
May 19th is Endangered Species Day! Help save endangered species by participating in this Generation Awakening event.
